Visions are Final Fantasy Resonance's answer to both jobs and fan service: echoes of warriors from past Final Fantasy games, the present, and even other universes, each equippable by your characters. Equip Cloud to a hero and that hero fights with Cloud's skill set alongside their own; swap the vision and the build changes. The official store copy calls them "echoes of beloved Final Fantasy characters, who fight alongside you with unique skills and abilities for deep party customisation".

What visions are
The Hong Kong store page names the artefact at the centre: vision crystals, crystallisations of the will of legendary figures. Equipping one grants its abilities to the character carrying it. In practice a vision works like a job from a classic Final Fantasy, with one twist the developers are proud of: the character keeps their own personality and quirks while wearing another legend's power.
The concept descends directly from Brave Exvius, where summoned versions of characters were called visions; our FFBE relationship page covers that lineage. The roster mixes two kinds of legend:
- Mainline Final Fantasy legends: Cloud, Terra, the Warrior of Light and others
- Brave Exvius originals: characters born in the mobile game, like Tronn and Leah
The six roles
Every character and every vision carries one of six roles describing their combat job. This is the vocabulary the whole party-building game speaks:
| Role | Job |
|---|---|
| Breaker | Excels at emptying enemy break gauges |
| Medic | Excels at healing |
| Commando | Excels at dealing damage |
| Sentinel | Protection and enmity management |
| Saboteur | Disrupts enemies in various ways |
| Synergist | Enhances allies in various ways |
How visions grow
Three progression tracks, all confirmed through interview and visible in the official interface screenshot below:
- Own upgrade line. Each vision levels separately (capped at 5 in the demo).
- Mastered abilities persist. Abilities a vision has mastered stay usable even when it is not equipped, paid for with capacity points.
- Trust mastery rewards. Each vision carries a trust mastery track with its own progression, the Brave Exvius signature system carried over.
- Magicite awakening. Each vision can be awakened with magicite across three awakening levels.

Every vision confirmed so far
Ten names, each tied to where it is confirmed. The total roster is 26 per developer interview; the remaining sixteen are unannounced.
| Vision | Origin | Confirmed by |
|---|---|---|
| Warrior of Light | Final Fantasy 1 | Demo roster |
| Bartz | Final Fantasy 5 | Official screenshot (ability attribution) |
| Terra | Final Fantasy 6 | Official copy and demo |
| Zidane | Final Fantasy 9 | Official screenshot (ability attribution) |
| Cloud | Final Fantasy 7 | Official copy and demo |
| Tidus | Final Fantasy 10 | Not confirmed: community video only, excluded from the count |
| Y'shtola | Final Fantasy 14 | Official screenshot (equipment panel) |
| Noctis | Final Fantasy 15 | TGS hands-on footage |
| Clive | Final Fantasy 16 | Official Hong Kong store copy |
| Tronn | Brave Exvius original | Demo roster |
| Leah | Brave Exvius original | Demo roster |
The Tidus row stays in the table marked as excluded on purpose: a community video named him as an example vision, but no official material shows him, so he does not count. The confirmed ten are Warrior of Light, Bartz, Terra, Zidane, Cloud, Y'shtola, Noctis, Clive, Tronn and Leah: ten of 26, sixteen to go.
⚠️ Unconfirmed. A full roster has not been published. The count above updates as official material lands; anything you see beyond it elsewhere is speculation or leak, and leaks do not get embedded here.
FAQ
How many visions are in Final Fantasy Resonance?
26 in total, per a developer interview. Ten are confirmed by name so far; the rest are unannounced.
Is Cloud in Final Fantasy Resonance?
Yes, as an equippable vision. He appears in official store copy, the demo roster and a full cinematic in official screenshots.
Are Terra and Clive in the game?
Yes, both are named in official store copy: Terra from Final Fantasy 6 and Clive from Final Fantasy 16, alongside Cloud, as vision crystals.

Not once mastered: mastered abilities remain available through capacity points even when the vision is unequipped.
