About This Wiki
What this site is, how we label facts we cannot confirm, how we handle your data, and the rules of use, all on one page.
Who we are
Final Fantasy Resonance Wiki is an independent, fan-made wiki covering FINAL FANTASY RESONANCE, the first HD-2D Final Fantasy, developed by Square Enix with Lancarse and published by Square Enix on October 22, 2026. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Square Enix.
What we do
We collect information from official sources (the official site, the Steam store page and its API, the PlayStation, Xbox and Nintendo storefronts, and trailers verified on their real upload channels), and from press previews and developer interviews, then rewrite and organize it into plain-English pages. Every page carries a fact-check date, a status badge and a sources list.
A note on sources
This game sits on top of a shut-down mobile title, Final Fantasy Brave Exvius, and a lot of what is known about it comes from interviews rather than store pages. Where a detail comes from an interview transcript, a press preview or community hands-on footage, the page says so explicitly. The distinction between "on an official page" and "reported by the press" is never blurred.
Corrections
Spotted something wrong? Tracking pages (price, platforms, the vision roster, news) are re-checked regularly. Corrections are applied with a new fact-check date.
Three labels, used literally
Every fact on this site carries one of three labels. This is not decoration, it is the whole editorial method.
- Official sources: published by Square Enix on the official site, the storefronts, or the FINAL FANTASY channel. Safe to rely on.
- Partially confirmed: confirmed in part, or reported by press and interviews but not on an official page. We state exactly what is known and flag the gap.
- Pending confirmation: Square Enix has not announced it. We say so plainly and explain what would change the answer.
What we refuse to do
- We do not invent vision lists. The total of 26 visions comes from a developer interview; only the names shown on official pages, in the demo or in verified footage are listed as confirmed, and the page says which layer each name comes from.
- We do not repeat superseded or wrong framings. This game is not a remake of Final Fantasy 1, not a port of the FFBE mobile game and not a gacha: three claims we can prove from official data, so we say so plainly, with sources.
- We do not blur the platform line: five platforms at launch, two separate Switch versions whose saves do not transfer, and regional language differences are stated exactly as the storefronts state them.
- We do not present community strategy or opinions as fact. Concerns raised in community videos, like the chibi 3D character models, are reported as community sentiment, clearly labelled.
- We do not host, link or provide cheat tools, trainers or pirated copies, ever.
How to read a caveat box
Pages where a claim is genuinely uncertain carry a Read this first box immediately below the summary. That box is the fastest way to know which parts of the page are solid and which are waiting on Square Enix.
